"50th anniversary"

50th anniversary of what? The 300ZX? The Z line in general? Christ, Nissan itself has barely been around for 50 years.

#2, 1937 was the start of Nissan IIRC.

#3, Having looked it up, the company has a long history and complicated origins, and got their start in goods other than cars (like most Japanese car companies). Nissan motors was officially founded in 1934, though.

I took it for granted that they started in the 1950s, since this is when most Japanese automakers got their start (when their industry started to "boom," in other words).

This one is a 1985 model, so I guess the 50th anniversary badges are bogus after all.

#7, Figures as such.

Also: care to guess why the Z-car made its debut in 1969?
