I suddenly want to build up a U.S. Escort to similar specs.
But I still think I'd rather build a Merkur into a Sierra Cosworth clone.

#2, Merkur -> RWD Sierra Cosworth = plug and play. Or you can go for the AWD and the Cosworth V6 (2.8 or 2.9 I think).

I could totally afford it, too, but not only do I not have the time to work on it/get it (it's in Canada....damn), but the last thing I need right now is another car in the yard. I need to get that rust repair done on the Granada and get rid of it first.
