#3, It just sounds wrong in french. You know strong mustard ? Well we call it moutarde forte. It's the feminine diminution of strong in french (if that sentence made any sense, I'm glad). |

So is it "forte" (pronounced "fort," commonly mispronounced as "fortay") meaning speciality, eg. "Acting isn't my forte"?
Or is it "forte" (pronounced "fortay"), a dynamic of music that means "loud" or "strong?" |

It's pronounced "fuh-rtt" (in one word) and means something feminine that is strong. |
