I never cared for the split bumper look, I think they only did it for 2 years, by 74' or thereabouts the federal 5mph crash bumper law was in effect, and you couldn't get away with bumperettes anymore.

#1, 1970-1973. IIRC, the split bumper was part of the RS package.
