Well, like I said sometime ago, I don't know a whole lot about rotaries but I have noticed the ones over here in the States go out after about 80k.

the apex seals fail if you look at them funny, and they have so many vacuum hoses and secondaries and stuff that they just don't last very long, especially if used hard.

the whole car? in real good condition, I'd say no more than $20k american. if that. I'm not real sure. the engines are actually pretty cheap to rebuild, but still.

I could buy one right now for $13k, that is with a new engine too. Oh and I ment 80k miles to clear that up.

Yeah, I've heard that the 13b rotaries aren't very sturdy. As a matter of fact check out this auction for an rx-7 it comes with a spare engine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1841895554

monjoho, hey. I was wrong. the dealership I told you about is called Texas Sports and Specialty Cars. Like I said, 59 south at Fountain View. You oughta check it out.

there are 2 different versions of the 13b the ones that came in the fc's were terrible for reliability but the second version of it in the fd's were actually quite reliable the only major problem they had was cooling the turbos and engine but wit an upgraded cooling system they were fine

#16 I heard these cars do over heat, and the stock twin-turbo set up is to blame. With a single turbo conversion, supporting mods and a big radiator these can be a bit safer.

#17, correct, sir. The stock sequential turbo system is so complicated and adds so much backpressure that you actually see gas reversion under certain circumstances, which is obviously hella bad for the engine.

#18, "gas reversion" Exactly what phenomenon is that? Sounds bad, but I've never heard of it before.
