Someone posted this picture on the Tucker forum a couple of days ago, asking which Tucker is in this photo. They've got it narrowed down to either #10 or #14.

On a side note, they managed to identify the dealership it's at. This is it now: http://www.tuckerclub.org/bbs3/download/file.php?id=398

#23, If you've got a PS3, X360, or a good gaming PC, you might be interested in Mafia II... http://igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=19524 :)

#26, I don't, though that's one of several really great download cars I've seen made for that game.

An interesting article from Old Cars weekly about the four destroyed Tuckers, with photographs: http://www.oldcarsweekly.com/article/tucker-tally

Some details contradict my own research....apparently #18 was wrecked in New York in 1950, not Michigan in 1953, as I had previously read. It also says the exact story on #42 is unknown, and that the story I presented here is based on hearsay.

#12, I just found out that the unrestored #10 car holds the record for the fastest speed achieved in a Tucker: 134 mph, set on the Bonneville salt flats in either 1950 or 1952 (sources conflict).

#29, And now it's just been sold to a restoration shop Colorado, and has been removed from the Washington garage where it has resided for over 50 years.

Some neat photos of the car (inside and out) before it was moved: http://www.tuckerclub.org/bbs3/view...p;sk=t&sd=a

I just found out that a friend of my dad's grew up around a Tucker in the Turlock, CA area. He said it was owned by the father of one of his friends who had a bunch of cars, and he used to play in it. The car was parked outside and was starting to deteriorate when he knew of it. Sadly I don't know which number it was or what color it was.

#18, Tucker #03 was owned by George Lucas for a time and was purchased by the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I saw it this past week at the Blackhawk Museum. That makes six personal Tucker sightings!

Tucker had its own class at Pebble Beach this year. I can only imagine how awesome it must have been to see twelve of them together including the Tin Goose.

[idiot]I know Tucker as that once car that was in that Batman movie. Other than that - it's just a big American Beetle. [/idiot]

#36, Unsure if you're talking facetiously about Sin City, or the Volkswagen Foxes with the third center headlight in Batman Returns. :P

#37, Actually - now that I think of it - it was the singular mentioning of a Tucker during a phone conversation between Alfred and Bruce Wayne in Batman and Robin that I seem to have pulled that one from.

So, Skid, if you ever find your way up near the Pennsylvania region, I'd recommend the AACA Museum in Hershey and the Swigart Museum in Huntingdon. Easy way to see the Tin Goose prototype, Tucker 1001, 1013 and 1022 as well as many Tucker engines, transmissions, test chassis, memorabelia, etc.
