Description:
The last picture I'll ever take of my truck, I completed the sale of it today. I lost a good chunk of money on the original price, not to mention all the new equipment I stuck on it over the years. But I figure that all the aggravation being over is well worth it. |

It's a shame....I was eager to see how it would come out.
I hope you do something cool with the money. |

#1, It is a shame...a big one, I wanted this thing to be great, but I just wasn't realistic with myself. As far as the money goes I'm banking it. My dad's going to help me out financially since he knows I lost a bit with the price. Hopefully I'll have new wheels by the summer. |

#3, I've seen her before, I was scouring ebay for parts trucks back in November and ran across that page. Surprised it hasn't been sold yet, I honestly don't know what kind of market vintage Burbs have, I've seen them sell from $1500 to almost $40,000. But I'm not ready to open my heart to another project yet, and if I do it sure as hell won't need as much attention as my truck. That big green bitch broke my heart. |

#5, She's in a better place now, with someone who can afford to finish the body and drive her for a while like I never really could. The guy who bought her is with a semi pro racing team from Tennessee. There was one guy who called me right before the sale who had a powder coated frame ready to go, I was going to call him back if this deal soured but the guy came through and on top of that didn't try to lowball me....I gave him a good deal though. |

That sucks.. but I totally understand. Similar thing happened with the Gran Torino, I couldn't afford a restoration and with Quebec's climate, I needed a winter car, which I couldn't afford either.. Heh, maybe someday. |

#7, Yeah, the relief I felt seeing her go was almost worth the money I put into her.
#8, Southeast Michigan is a shitty place to own any vintage vehicle, the roads are shit, the winters suck, and there's so many assholes on the road you'd have better chances in a demo derby. |

#10, One of the unwritten rules when it comes to selling your car is: sell it to someone far away, so you don't get to witness what happens to your baby (usually bad things). We made that mistake twice, first with my dad's first car (Fiat 126), then with the Tipo. The 126 was bought by some young idiot who then raced it up and down the city, effectively destroying it and the Tipo was bought by some manual labour type who started ricing it straight away. Horrible. My dad took the 126 really hard, getting a car and then maintaining it for a family like mine in communist Poland was bordering on heroic. |
