Description:
I don't have a pic of my current car, but here's one of me looking goofy with my old
one, a 1993 Thunderbird LX/V6. |

#62, Yeah, but that's about as fast as that car ever got. The V8s are actually slower than the SCs, at least in stock form. Keep in mind that those cars also have an absurd amount of interior room for a 2-door; they're mostly intended as luxury cruisers, not race cars. |

#65, Sluggish, but manageable. 215 lb-ft of torque@2200RPM meant that the car actually could launch OK; it just ran out of steam before 4000 RPM.
I wish I'd held on to mine, saved some money, and tried to figure out how to put a 351W in it. |

i also drove a '92 celica st yesterday, it had 180k miles, the guy said they were highway commuter miles...that thing sure ran smooth, but grinded going into first, plus it was tiny anyway

But no, it wouldn't do anything more than maybe chirp a tire if you stomped it getting away from a light. Just too much weight, and the torque converter had a pretty low stall. |

actually thats how my el camino was...it would just spin the tires briefly from a stop, the 5.0 didnt have much power, maybe 170hp and 220lb-ft |

#72, Same sort of situation, just even less HP. For all that, though, it wasn't a bad car, and I'm willing to bet I could probably take corners faster in my old LX than I can in my Mustang--it had some body roll, but the handling wasn't bad overall; the steering was a bit sluggish, but the car stayed pretty well balanced while cornering at speed.. |

#73, 180 degrees. I stomped it too hard and spun it off onto the shoulder. |

#77, Heck, the only way you could probably get it over 100 MPH would be by dropping it from a plane :-)
