#23 Yeah, but they're not supercars. And they don't have torque. |

#25 No, not you, all the ricers claim they're "international supercars". From what I've read, the new ones have 260hp, 260lb-ft. My 250hp Tempest (if it follows the pattern of the GTO) has over 300lb-ft. 225hp Mustangs have around 300lb-ft. |

#27 That's cuz it's got a 302 (i.e. a REAL engine). |

Heck, my Mustang V6 has nearly so much (225 lb-ft). 260 from a car with forced induction? Noooooo.... |

#32 Yeah, but even with FI, the 302s a nice engine. Very torquey. |

#34 See, you'd never find that in a Jap car. They don't understand the whole "torque" concept. Which is not to say they don't make any decent cars, but I'd never be truly happy with one. |

#36, Not entirely true. The 300ZX TT used to make over 300 lb-ft, which was probably fairly satisfying. The RX7 and Supra Turbo had sequential turbochargers that gave them fairly healthy torque curves, too. Still, for sheer gutwrenching acceleration, it's hard to beat a pushrod. |

#37 Very hard. And I'd bet money for every Jap car with over 300lb-ft, it's got over 350hp. |
