What a waste of money. I felt bad when my Jetta got SMOOSHED hea-on by a jackass in an Esclipe trying to street race and drive like an ass, and I only paid $1200 for that paint job. It's a shame when you get a car painted and someone hits you, the insurance companies ignore mods. So to this guy....AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, you just wait and see where all that money will leave you.

And he never will unless he finds a sucker to buy it. I can't believe someone would waste SO much money on a SUBARU. Why not buy a real car like a Viper or at least a good American sports car with all that money. Think of what a great restoration job you could do on an old muscle car or street rod with $150,000. GEESH. A bird poops on his Subaru and the value gets cut in half. At least a restored REAL car would have some value for the money you invest. But I guess to each his own. It's saps like this guy that makes our economy and our country the richest and most powerful industrial superpower in the world.

Subaru waste of money? Are you ill? I agre on the muscle car, but a Subaru isn't a waste money. The WRX runs 13s out the box, and sticks to the road unlike anything else I've driven (much like a GSX.) Drive one before you make a statement like that.

I know the WRX is an awesome car, performance-wise, and I want to drive one actually. But do you think a Subaru (or any $20-25,000 car) is worthy of a $150,000 paint job? No. I was saying that money could be better spent on another car project. I wasn't knocking Subaru directly...just his choice in a base car for a paint job like he purchased. (p.s. I still may be ill. HAHA)

Also, this is a base Impreza 2.5. Not a WRX. Everyone seems to call all Imprezas WRX's now. The WRX has the funny looking round headlights like a Neon. I'd rather see a WRX with that paint job, at least he'd get a few more bucks from the insurance company when a idiot ricer hits him.

How are they different? A Brake is an instrument used to measure horsepower, so I always thought the terms BHP and HP were the same. Is one understood to be measured under different conditions?

im not quite sure how they differ but there is a slight difference in this case i think its about 266bhp. europe uses bhp and assuming u are from the US u use hp.

bhp is measured at the crankshaft by a _brake_ dynometer that measures by applying larger and larger amounts of resistance while the motor runs at a certain rpm. generally bhp is what is referred to in ads and company literature. "real" horsepower is wheel horsepower, measured by a chassis dynometer that uses constant resistance and the motor is run all the way from idle to redline and the speed of the rollers is recorded and calculated. whp is more important because your whp is the only power that actually does anything to move the car. you can hardly see the impreza under that paint job btw.

I'm not a huge fan of wrx's. they are good cars for how much they cost, and i guess high 13s are good for out of the box. but i thought the times were more like 14.1 or so
