Well, here's a design that spans the ages.

And by that, I mean the front looks like it came from the early 60's, but we've reached early 1970 on the back end....

#1, 1962-1965 was a *very* transitional period in car styling....though not as dramatic as say, 1955-1959....

#2, I'd have to say that of all the cars made during that period, the C2 Corvette and the Studebaker Avanti were probably the two biggest design standouts in the industry that I can think of, at least from American manufacturers. The Jaguar E-Type came slightly before, so I don't know if you would include it.

#3, The Buick Riviera was also considered very modern-looking at the time....groundbreaking, even. Also, it's easy to overlook since it was built for 28 years with few changes, but the Jeep Wagoneer was a very modern design in 1963....there wasn't really anything else quite like it.

As for foreign manufacturers, the Iso Grifo and the Maserati Mistral jump to mind as standout "ahead of their time" designs, and of course, the Porsche 911 was also introduced in 1964.

#4, Ferrari 250GTO comes to mind. And if you want to talk luxury cars, the Lincoln Continental comes to mind almost immediately.

Also the Alfa Romeo TZ would have to qualify.

#7, 1967's a bit out of the specified year range, though.

#8, Oops. :( True. Would a '65 Corvair count?

#9, I wouldn't count it....it was attractive, but not groundbreaking.

#10, I'd say it was groundbreaking only in that it solved most of the problems of the original Corvair. Had the '65 Corvair been the first Corvair, then perhaps it might have been groundbreaking.
