I'd love to have a '75-'79 Seville, but these things are just clown shoes, and the Milan convertibles aren't much better.

And people tell me Cadillac should bring back 'actual names'.

For what? So we can remind people of this heap of shit?

The 2015 Cadillac Seville Opera Coupe vs. the 2015 BMW 640i. On the strength of name alone - the "640i" doesn't sound like it's trying too hard to impress others.

#3, Agreed on real words... but which is the lesser of two evils, alphabet soup, or totally made up names? (e.g. Tiguan, Venzo, Elantra, Catera, etc)

#4, Venzo? is that a V12-Ferrari-engined crossover? :P

#5, *nervously* ahem *adjusts ties*

I was just... uh... trying to ridicule the fact that there are several cars with similar names... Versa, Venza, Verso, etc... yeah... that's the ticket. Yeah.

#8, I'm aware of that. It's still a made-up word.

I'll take GM's clumsy approach to faux-sophistication with it's Francophile names in the 80's and 90's, (Corsica, Seville, Parisienne, Coupe de Ville, etc. ) over the current modern day trend to pick meaningless names so the car can be sold in multiple markets without having to regionalize it, that's how we ended up with car models that sound like infectious diseases, or nutritional disorders....... Yaris, Prius, Routan.....

#11, "Routan" was actually only ever used in North America... their non-Chrysler rebadge minivan that they sold everywhere else in the world is the "Touran"...

On the bright side, I get to refer to their horrible [Chrysler] Routan as a "Crouton"...
