I've got the movie on DVD because it's the most idiotic spectacle I've ever seen. First time I saw it, I was with another muscle-car fan and we both nearly passed out laughing before the movie was halfway through.
My sister, however, likes the cars in the movie and she likes VeilSide. She also just got her first car, which is a 4cyl economy car. She's already put an aftermarket exhaust tip on it. I'm very scared.

"Lucky you didn't blow the welds on the intake" with 100 shot of NOS (that's really pretty small) and earlier they said it was direct-port injection, ie it doesn't go through the intake. Just for starters.

It's funny because, as CRX said, some of the stuff the characters say just cannot be reconciled with anything that makes sense. They have a Nissan 240SX shut down a (modded, I assume) Mazda RX7, and they have the floorboards fall off of an Eclipse because it went too fast, they make it look like the car blew its engine, THEN the hero uses it to rescue another ricer moron. Even though the car is allegedly crippled, it still moves just fine..and I think it has its floor panels back.
Just an example. There are plot holes and factual lapses you could drive a Freightliner through, and plenty of cars you SHOULD drive a Freightliner OVER.

Yeah. The floorboard falls out because he uses too much naaaawss. but our buddy vin gets into the floorboardless car just fine. and when the car blows up, it's puportedly because of NAAAAAWWWWWWWSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!11111111 which isn't flammable.

Well, they catch air with this Supra like it's a WRC car a couple of times. Can't imagine doing that with a car that's this radically lowered.

the concept of 1) a shotgun blast in the taillight nearly making the driver lose control, 2) driving a civic under a semi trailer (there's a spare tire there sweetie) 3) The truck driver emptying a load of buckshot into his own hood right where the radiator is. Those are dumb.

Then there's the infamous 90-second drag race. No one can seem to agree on how much distance it covers; some say a quarter mile, some say a mile. Either way, shouldn't have taken that long. At the end, the Supra and a certain drag Charger race each other, and a gap that is allegedly supposed to be 1/4 mi just takes waay too long, even for the slow-mo that's used.
