Two cases confirmed in my county. I'm still working, but remotely. Taking care of an aging parent, trying to make damn sure I wash my hands and am extremely careful when I head out to get supplies.

As far as supplies... we should be good for about 2 months, but it'll be a stretch.

I have a sister that works at a hospital, so obviously I'm worried for her.

I am good so far. Down with my dad in Kansas for at least another week. Got two week's leave, will be getting an extra $300 on my first April check. So far, so good. I am in both high risk groups so I should be careful.

I've been doing alright, considering my whole fracking state is under a shelter in place order. My job is considered essential (laundry service) so I'm still working daily even though my hours are shorter due to decreased demand. My dad just informed me someone tested positive in my grandma's senior home, which worries me because she can't go anywhere, she's 95, and my dad just visited the place a little less than two weeks ago. I just hung out with my dad this week. And both of us have asthma. I can't afford not to work so I'm going to have to be careful, both for my sake and my aging mom.

Sent home last Friday for lack of work, and told I should look into filing for unemployment, meaning they plan on staying shuttered for at least a month.

Personally, just bored out of my mind waiting it out in the bunker with the dog. And if that wasn't bad enough, my bank just called to tell me they're turning off my credit card and sending a new one because someone stole my numbers, so I can't even buy stuff like games online.

Fortunately, all my elderly relatives passed in the last 5 years, so I don't have to worry about them catching it.

Since I work a TV job, I don't see myself being out of work any time soon. Otherwise, I'm just irritated at the closed restaurants and dipshit hoarders buying up all the toilet paper.

already had work from home option so doing good and enjoying the social distance.

Can laugh at the car dealerships that turned my offers away when I was shopping when now they need business and have lowered prices. (yes i watch).

My Ex also left me last year for a guy who worked as a self employed business owner including odd driving / freelance jobs when business was slow. So theres that. Let's see you be a breadwinner now.

Provincial state of emergency has been declared. All non-essential (gubmint) persons are to stay home until the state of emergency has been lifted.

In accordance with public health officials - all individuals outside and within public and private spaces are to remain 2M apart from one another. This barrier can be reduced for individuals of whom one cohabitates within a home.

Gatherings of more than 5 people are prohibited and subject to individual fines of up to $1000. Businesses found in violation of this order will be subject to a fine of up to $7000.

All public parks (municipal and provincial) are closed until further notice. Individuals found entering closed parks are subject to a fine of up to $750.

Anyone entering the province - be it inter-provincially or internationally - are subject to a mandatory 14 quarantine period. Those found in violation of this order are subject to fines.

Call 811 if you have symptoms as detailed on the provinces' website.

After observing the above precautions - any of you fucks in the private sector can stay open for as long as you can until the money runs out or you get infected.

My county now:

92 cases. 28 hospitalized.
Our esteemed governor took his sweet time declaring a "stay at home" order. Has no teeth. Barely enforceable.
Two weeks ago our county's Emergency Ops, in coordination with representatives from all the cities, ordered the beaches be closed; our esteemed elected officials on the county commission immediately convened an emergency meeting and overruled the Emergency Ops, and reopened the beaches.

I'm still working from home, and getting stressed the hell out trying to coordinate the backend of a remote meeting platform for future official meetings that still have to meet the requirements of state "open government" statutes.

Have to find my spare trickle-charger to hook up to the Mazda... I really have no plans on going anywhere for the forseeable future.

...and, I don't want to go into too much detail, but my father is really not doing well, and my plans to go see him last month fell through, for obvious reasons. I'm heartbroken.

Got put on furlough til June at my job, then my old boss who laid me off in August of 2018 calls me up and offers me a CNC operator position. It's a much better pay rate and commute than my current job so it looks like I'm an "essential" employee for the time being. Probably going to quit the other job and hope to not get laid off again. It's an interesting place to work, we make replacement sheet metal parts for vintage Ford and Chevy cars, boss has a warehouse full of old wrecks we 3D scan and upload into a computer for CAD work. I'll try to snap some pics next week.

#10, Wow, it's been a while.

CNC operators are generally decently paid. Not a bad gig.

#11, Yeah the machine I'm working on is older than me, but at least I'll get some rudimentary programming experience. My normal field of work is a CAD drafter but a lot of those jobs have dried up, the gaps in my resume didn't help either. Almost took a job in Virginia last November but the moving costs were too much. The last 18 months have been eye-opening to say the least

#12, Hey Bourbon, good to hear from you again. Dunno if you'll see this but I have a friend who would be very interested in the 3D scanning of vehicles. He models cars and creates his own textures, particularly 80s and 90s stuff. Also likes to 3D scan cars by taking photos from all angles and running them through some kind of photogrammetry processor. Has an '84 Citation he's trying to keep alive. I'd love to see pictures of your boss's warehouse. Maybe I could get you two in contact to compare notes?

#13, Thanks man, I've been taking the necessary precautions, just glad to be working again, how have you been?

#14, Interesting, I'd like to see his work, we got some old Rancheros in the warehouse and have been offering floor pan kits for them, I'll try to grab some pics when I can

#15, Taking a medical leave from work since I'm in multiple high risk groups, unfortunately. I would like to get back to work as soon as I can, though. I miss it. I hate having to social distance. I've worked hard to get a new group of friends, and it sucks I can't hang out with them. :(

#15, He makes car models that go into Garry's Mod and also donated some for a project a friend of his did, making a traffic pack for American Truck Simulator. I've been trying to encourage him to use the models for 3D printing scale replicas on a site like Shapeways. As he puts it, good materials are more important than good geometry, because you can have the most perfect model render like crap.

If you have that level of graphic talent, why not try a gig in video game animation?
Pays quite well.
