It has a 220 hp Taurus SHO V6 mounted behind the front seats and RWD. Even though that amount of hp is a LOT for a car this small and light, Jay added a NOS system to it, and with the NOS turned up all the way, the car has total hp of about 310. WITHOUT the NOS on, the car runs 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, and does the 1/4 mile in about 12.6 seconds. I couldn't find any performance figures with the NOS system turned on, sorry. Anyway, it's still a Festiva, so it's funny as hell....

Yeah, but this car is actually smaller than the Aussie Ford Laser/American Mercury Tracer.

I'd take either any day street sleeper and a half.

Well, I'd try to remove any body modifications from this car that I could. I do realize that, having the engine in the back, the air scoops ARE neccesary...I'd try to make this one as inconspicuious(sp?) as possible. It WOULD be one hell of a sleeper...

I LOVE this car. It looks like a dumbass ricermobile, but it's got the balls to back it up! Honestly, body modifications are becoming a good way to create a sleeper. I know when I'm at a light, if the guy next to me has a body kit, odds are he hasn't put a dime into his motor. So the body kit doesn't ruin the sleeper-ness of this one. It's a FESTIVA, for God's sake.

I have to side with cams116, I love the look on Jay Leno's face in this pic, it really matches the car.

It would be fun to drive, but no matter how fast, with all the vintage Packards and Dusenburgs this guy owns, why the hell would he want to drive a Festiva?

Because you get to make that face in it. That's why.

I want to see a video of this thing, it would be to funny to see a Festiva beating a Viper or something know as a fast car.

But at least this one is fast. Unlike some others where the real fast car stalls or something.

Ya, I was at some Honda page sometime ago where this guy in a Civic was boosting about how he whipped a Viper, when you watch the video the Viper's rear tires burst into smoke and the little Civic gets in front of it.

thats one of the viper's key flaws. too much torque. not enough traction.

Right, all I am saying is this Civic that is obviously slower got a lucky break and the ricer driver wouldn't shut up about it.
