I like the controller on the N64 too. The graphics didn't have much detail on most of the games, but the fact that it actually antialiased them helped make it more soothing to look at. The original Playstation rendered some darn chunky graphics.

yeah...plus playstation never had the rush-series, "rush 2 USA" was an amazing game, remember tooling around in the amusement park, doing flips and donuts with your car

I have the original SF Rush for the '64. The platform's real killer apps (in my opinion) were Goldeneye, Star Fox 64, Mario 64, and the Zelda 64 games.

dont you know how the game almost got banned because it had curses in it, and graphical shit, and adult themes like drinking and everything...and the graphics rocked, conker's eyes blinked, his mouth moved, and the facial expressions changed based on how he felt

I never played or bought the game, but I did know that it was extremely controversial.

Graphics
If ever there was a Rare game to look at as an example of what the developer is fully capable of visually, Conker's Bad Fur Day is it. At the risk of sounding cliche, the graphic look of the title can best be described with one word -- wow! Lush, detailed 3D worlds, cute character designs, fantastic texture work and top lighting effects collide to create the atmospheric environments the squirrel travels. Conker himself is equipped with an in-game facial animation system that realistically portrays his different moods as he travels the lands. When he's scared, he looks it, and when he's pissed off players will actually be able to see his teeth showing in a frown. Moreover, all of the speech in the game is lip-synched by Conker and other characters -- just another facet of a very ambitious graphic presentation.

Rare did some very good stuff with their N64 graphics engines. Pretty talented group of programmers, I'd surmise.

Are the front and rear brakes independently controlled? They must be if you can do endos like this... unless that's not an endo, and he's actually landing from a jump.

you can endo but they call it a "stoppie" and you just jam on the brake if youre going fast enough, or the brake and hand brake buttons at the same time

#58, I've heard it called a "stoppie", too, but I prefer "endo" because "stoppie" sounds completely retarded.
