They had just a plain rig w/ no trailer, and a rig w/ a flatbed trailer that carried a helicopter, I owned them both. Once converted the flatbed into a standard trailer like this, but it looked awfull because it had like 5 or 8 different colored bricks

Okay, I was kicking around some rig-related sites, and found a listing of what the 4 digit codes in the middle of those Hazardous Load placards translate into, most are pretty predictable 1075 = Liquefied Petroleum, 1005 = Ammonim 1017 = Chlorine, etc. but htere are a few, well, odd and frigtening ones. For example, 1204 = Nitroglycerine 2017 = Tear Gas 2188 = Arsine, automatic 5 mile evac in case of spill

I personaly like the Tear Gas one........... They also had codes for car batteries, sulfuric acid, MOLTEN sulfur, class 1 explosives, corrosives, kinda makes you think tiwce about cutting an 18 wheeler off on the road huh? You may find yourself up to your eyeballs in Nitric Acid......

"Makes you think twice about cutting off an 18-wheeler." I never would, anyway--I've seen rear-end collision footage for my car. However, I think that even if you explained this stuff to the morons that do cut off semis, it wouldn't stop them.

I go out of my way to let them in, I once endured the wrath of 100's of folks on the Beltway in Baltimore to let a truck get over to exit... he have me the "blink blink' thanks....

No point in getting smashed flat by umpteen tons of steel.

The only thing I think is stupider than cutting off a semi, is racing a train to a crossing, that's several THOUSAND TONS of steel..... and it isn't going to even slow down for somthing that weighs about 4K lbs or so

Ironic thing, 9 out of 10 of those times, it's a semi trying to beat a train...

Actually, we get a lot of people trying to slip their personal cars around the crossing arms.

I heard of one guy who rammed the arm and turned his car into a convertible. He'd watched too many movies and thought they were still made of wood.

12136 this a great example of what being impatient and trying to pass a turning 18 wheeler can do
