#22 Actually, 350s have been done in those. And big-blocks, but only once or twice. |

#24, Well, I'm not suggesting we get silly. You know, just a little something to get around a little faster -- like, say, Autobahn speed. |

#26 Yeah, anything more than a 305 or 350 w/aluminum heads would probably kill the handling. |

#28 YES. As in P-51 Mustang, stomped the shit out of Nazis, and OWNED THE FUCKING SKY IN THE '40S 3,000 MOTHERFUCKIN' HP Merlin. The very same. Though I thought she had less than 3,000hp. I thought it was more like 2k. |

#30 I like that one. And it fits. Check the pics, they even did the interior and chassis up, right down to six pipes on each side under the frame. Being a car guy and an aviation nut (who happens to think the P-51 and P-38 are as close as mortals can get to divinity in this life), that bad daddy is like heaven on earth for me. |

#33 Let's not be silly. It can only idle into 12s.... to hit 10s you need to tap the gas. Lightly. For a split second. =) |

A friend of my father's back in the early '70s had a Corvair Monza with a 460 Ford in it. He said it could pull some mean wheelies. It wasn't technically street legal, like that's ever stopped anyone around here. |
