#1, No, but I think they used the Fiero as an Indy 500 pace car once.

#2, Yep, it was Pontiac's Indy paint scheme, all the cars they used as pace cars in the 80's more or less carried this scheme of white w/ red pinstripes and grey bumpers, My one college buddy had a 80' Turbo Trans Am, with the exact same paint scheme, plus the screamin' chicken
