This car is powered by a 1946 Rolls Royce Merlin Packhard V12 engine from a WWII Mustang figter plane, the power output is 3000hp (2237kW). It took 6 yrs to build and costs $1.25million. And here comes the best and most unbelievable part it is STREET LEGAL

#1, WW2-era military aircraft were usually supercharged stock. I'm not sure why there's two of them, though... it's possible this engine was built from two supercharged inline-sixes (it wouldn't be unprecedented... Alfa Romeo made a GP racer in the 1930s that was powered by a dual-supercharged inline-eight built from two supercharged inline-fours.)

also that doesn't look like a mustang body shell to me. since it has a p-51 engine it should have a mustang body shell IMO

hmmm ... now you will find that the engine discussed is actually sipercharged but the supercharger is mounted on the _front_ of the engine ... not a pair of roots type blowers with injection hats ... Rod Hadfield here in Australia just completed his one in a 56 Bel Air and it is registered in Victoria ... he drove it at the Summernats yesterday ... real interesting to hear ... if you go to this link you will see how different the engine is to the one in this pic http://www.rodshop.com.au/project55.htm
