#2, nah - it's just i read a bunch of brochures a while back and there was no sunroofs - just moonroofs.

i guess it would be hard to moon people with one of them on your car.

I've asked the question alot too...I always get this answer: a sunroof is traditionally a solid body panel, not glass, that vents to let in air/light. a moon roof is usually glass, and vented or not, lets in 'moonlight' that a solid sunroof can't. bollocks I say :P

Moonroof = glass window in roof
Sunroof = a panel in the roof that can slide/fold open
Sunroof/Moonroof = when the panel that can slide open is transparent glass.

That's probably too simplified, as there are probably exceptions, but, meh.

#10, I rarely use them. The moonroof in my folks' Regal is nice but I almost never open it. My dad hates them because they eat up headroom and limit the kinds of cars he can drive because he has a long torso that makes his head hit the roof in a number of cars I can easily sit in (I have a shorter torso and am about 2-3" shorter overall, though apparently my legs are about the same length as his).

I use them whenever possible just about, on cooler days I'll keep the windows up but the roof open

#12, I used to do that in the Volvo and the Peugeot. I'd have the sunroof open in the middle of winter.
