I'm assuming your JDM transplant is just the engine itself and the ancillaries are the original stock Talon ones? I/C, etc?

You mentioned getting a new intercooler, I assume meaning a front mount. On 1gs, the problem is not so much the intercooler, which is actually a good size and quite efficient, but rather the intercooler piping and so forth. with a 16g turbo running a 7cm (I assume compressor) a larger intercooler (especially the gi-normous front mount we all want) would just lead to pressure drop and extra lag. Plus they cost huge piles of money. I recommend getting yourself a high quality set of high-pressure silicon I/C piping. This will make a lot more power than you might expect. Don't worry about replacing the blow off valve, either; the 1g BOV is a high-quality unit and can handle 25psi as long as its in good shape. It's not shiny and it doesn't make especially cool noises, but it's a quality part. The fuel system is definitely something you need to work on; it's the major weak point of 1gs. (cont.)

Blowoff Valve is already replaced. See picture here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/gallery/data/500/9921bov.jpg

Intercooler: Shop that did the engine swap reccomended a new one, and these guys know their shit (not saying you don't). Kakoriat found me a good frontmount kit from Dijon Tools.

Fuel System: Kakoriat also found me a good package. :)

EDIT: The BOV was on when I pruchased the car, Kakoriat has the stock one on his Talon.

Simply adding a larger fuel pump (and associated tubing; Holley makes a good one) should handle your worries at this power level, the stock injectors shouldn't be running too heavy a duty cycle. If you get the car dynoed or professionally tuned, be sure to ask them to check out the injectors. Anything over an 80% duty cycle at full throttle risks losing precision and efficiency, at which point you'll need bigger ones. RC engineering makes good ones, something around 540cc/min should be just fine, leaving you extra room for, say, a 20g or T3/T4. You'll need some shiny new bits of electronics at this point as well. I don't know what kind of boost controller you're using, I highly recommend the manual ones from Doug's Dynopower, http://www.ddynopower.com They're cheap, reliable, and simple to install. A fuel controller should also be installed with the new fuel pump, such as an HKS VPC or Apex'i AFC.

#91, Frontmounts are great, not saying they're not, but they tend to be expensive, and large too. I wouldn't buy one unless I had upgraded to something well beyond the 16g. If you're seeing a really high intake temperature (anything over about 130 degrees on a cool day) you might need to upgrade, but the stock side-mount should do you just fine at this level of boost. Then again, I'm not totally familar with the differences between an american 1g 4G63 and teh Cyclone, so I may be off base on that one.

ok, so looking at where you are now is when you have to start getting radical, and there's a shitload of ways to do that.
