#23, Well, you too can enjoy the lawnmower-like sound created by the even back-and-forth firing order of the Ford 232! Go buy your very own V6 Mustang, and you too can ask questions like:
"Where's my low-end torque?"
"What the hell is that sound?"
"Why can't I find my car when I park it on college campuses?"
:-) |

#28, Not surprisingly, the torque curve looks almost just like a stock one, only raised by around 150 lb-ft throughout.

It's a little more cramped in one of these engine bays when all the EGR stuff is in place, but I've actually managed to stand between the fan shroud and the front of the engine before, so it's roomier than it really needs to be. :-) |

#32, Okay, either that's one roomy engine bay or you are one seriously scrawny dude. 0_0 |

#33, Mostly the latter, some of the former. There are a good couple of inches of space in there, though. |

Most recently, this car made a 12.6 1/4 mi. pass in 80* weather. Not too shabby. |

#37, Good question, and I don't think I'll get a straight answer since the guy who did this runs a speedshop and probably had an easy time sourcing parts. Heck, the fuel system upgrades alone are the better part of $1000 if you just buy them through normal channels (need injectors, fuel pump, blow-through MAF, and a chip). The components of the turbo system itself are relatively cheap--he bent the pipe himself and made a crude set of turbo headers, T-25s are pretty much a throwaway item for the DSM crowd, he used some cheap Bosch blowoff valves, and the intercooler is just a 2-core job. I wouldn't be surprised if his cost was below $2K, and I'd be surprised if it was more than 3K. |

#38, A good part of his advantage on the dragstrip comes from his transmission setup--he's got an automatic with a high-stall converter and a transbrake, so he can load up the motor and begin to spool before he even launches. |
