I know the Japanese sports car worshippers will fall back on the classic "1/4 mile isn't the measure of a performance car" excuse, but 14.1 is goddamn slow for a modified car. What the hell did they do wrong? Crappy driver?

A stock 350Z will do 14.3@99.5. What the hell did these assclowns do?

#23, Judging by the significantly slower trap speed I'm guessing a bad launch, instead.

In the october 2002 issue of Sport Compact Car they ran a flat 14 second quarter mile at 99.2 MPH with a stock 350Z. I wonder how pathetic it must feel to spend thousands on tires, rims, body kits and NOS, and run slower than stock.

#25, Yeah, that's typical. Times really start dropping once you get a decent torque converter and some gears, but they'll barely break into the 15's stock. Their weight slows them down and their IRS makes launches rather bad.

#29, 80 more bhp and 500 less lbs. of weight will do that.

I'd sport it if they put back the stock front bumper.

Live axels are just better at hard launches, not that you would know.
