#4, A new minivanish thing to replace the eurovan here in the US. It slots between the Sharan and the Transporter of foreign markets. Oh, on another note, the new Jetta is pretty slick too. |

#5, Nope never heard. I dont follow VW much, mostly girlie cars I think. And they've completely gone against their past by making these $40,000 cars. When back in the day, Bugs were cheap as hell. |

#6, My aunt has a POS Golf. barely 85,000 miles and it runs like shit. The tune up was $900.00 to change the fucking oil. The throttle cable thing is fucked up, and so are the power functions. The right front tire keep rubbing AFTER a $1200 alignment check and axle job. FUCKING GERMANS |

#7, Heh, sounds classic. I'll stick to simple old American cars. Soon I'll have my hands on a carburated Jeep. |

I like it.... but is it just me, or is this look like a knock-off of the new civic hatchbacks? |

#7, My Jetta was 8 years old, with 125K+ miles and ran like a new car. It depends on who's driving it and if they maintain it or not. You can make nearly any car last if you know how to treat it. With the prices your aunt paid for maintenance, I think she was just prone to getting ripped off. German cars are very high quality, even though I'd still prefer American. |

#12, she bought hers used with 73,000 miles. Paid $10,500 for it. It was in alright condition. What justifies the $10.5K price for a 1996? Chicago does. |

I guess...I'd never buy a car that would hit 100K before I can pay at least most of it off. |

#15, i see more volvos up here than mercades. also - those volvo's are being used as winter beaters. (road salt - accerated rust and so forth)
besides - VW is a nazi brand. |
