This picture is from the 1978 Sebring 12 Hours, where this car started 6th (but DNFed). I don't know much else about it, but if it's like the other GTX Corvettes it's probably got a 427 in it (and to be competitive it'd need to be making 700-800hp -- but this is all speculation.)

Actually, I'm not sure this is a big-block. Was it possible to get 427cid out of a 350 in the late 70s? (I know it is now, since the Corvette C5-R and Saleen S7R both have small block 427s -- although obviously the Saleen's isn't a Chevy.) |

Apparently there was a new rule enacted saying only F-bodies can appear in the Top 10...it sure appears that way at least. |
