Silly boy! Putting F1 style air rakes on your car does not make it perform like an F1 car....

I think it's hilarious when riceboys leave their trunklids unpainted just so everyone knows it's an aftermarket piece. Hood are bad enough, but when you replace your stock trunklid with a fiberglass or CF trunklid...that's just STUPID.

Ooooh, I saved 2 pounds!

Paint = Weight. That's one reason why people don't have their CF hoods and trunk lids painted. It would kinda defeat the purpose.

#6, no he is right, but it still doesn't mean it looks good, and they would still be saving weight with paint. also i think you'll save more then just 2 lbs on a fiberglass or CF truck lid

I have a CF extractor hood and I'm debating whether or not to paint it. We'll see.

CF can save weight but about the paint...come on, how much weight can not having paint save? I wish there was a CF hood in the Camaro SS-style. Of course I'd paint it.

But a CF trunklid would rob you of downforce, j00!

Matter of fact, the 2004 Corvette Commemorative Edition has a painted CF hood.

The ammount you "add" in paint weight is neglegiable compared to what you save by going for CF body panels. And this guy is a poser by just painting his black trying to pull off the look of an unpainted genuine CF body part
