True, marriage isn't a place where you need to "punish" each other for mistakes...you guys should talk and work things out so that you guys can learn from and become closer after misunderstandings. If two people just keep throwing "punishments" back and forth, it will only accomplish pushing them apart rather than solving/preventing problems.

#187, No, I'm not trying to help HIM, I'm trying to help both of you. It's so tough to have a successful marriage thesedays with all the temptations the world offers and everyone's openness about sex. It's everywhere and could be an easy trap to fall into. It's no surprise that the divorce rate is so high, no one thinks of marriage as the sacred thing it is, with how easy it is to get out of it with a phone call and a few signatures (lawyers). People give up way too easy and you guys seem like you have what it takes to have a successful marriage. It would be such a shame to see it crumble because of something as stupid as what he said on the internet.
