Well, anyway... I am now the proud owner of a red '95 Mitsubishi Mirage. Hey, at least it's a 2-door, and not a stodgy-looking 4-door... Well, I found out the stereo doesn't work, but for $1100, I'm not complaining. A/C works just fine. *win* AND IT ACTUALLY HAS A HORN! :)

*attaches tow hooks under rear bumper of Mustang*

*hooks up Capri, puts it in neutral*

*accelerates Mustang to 60 mph, pulls in front of riced Civic, releases Capri*

So, have you gotten to drive the Mirage around much since you bought it?

And when are you putting on the underbody neons, mirror tint, and wing? :p

Just looked up some numbers, and that's only about a 2100-lb car. Geez.

#46, ROFL...HEY! That's a great use for it! :P

#47, Drove it around Cocoa Beach as a test drive, and drove it from Cocoa Beach to Satellite Beach (about 15 miles). Drives REAL good...err, I mean, [redneck accent] That thar car drives real purdy! [/redneck accent]...err, I mean, it drives very smoothly and really well.

As per the second part of your post, >:/ it's stayin' stock dammit. :P

I imagine it should get pretty decent fuel economy, too.

#48, Wow...cool :) I read they get 35mpg at LEAST if you drive conservatively...which is nice. I need to save money now, seeing as $50 out of every McPaycheck is now going back to my mom, as a way to pay her back for the car.

From what I could tell from Carpoint, they offered two engines that year, a 1.5 and a 1.8. Any idea which you've got?

#52, Seeing as it's a base model (The "S" model, not an ES or LS), I would assume it's the 1.5L >_<

kbb.com seems to validate that assumption.

But hey, anything's gotta be better than a high-compression, thirsty, 88hp 20 year old 2.3L 4-banger.

I wish my parents had lower standards for used cars. Half the problem I got into last time was that my parents did not want me driving anything older than a '98. Unfortunately, the only cars made after '98 that I a) liked and b) found to be within my price range were pony cars, and I wound up letting them talk me into getting another new one. Meh.

#54, Well, it's fuel-injected, unlike the Capri. If nothing else, it should be more predictable when the temperature changes and stuff.

One thing I have to say...I'm happy the Capri was only ~2600lbs...it was easy to push :P
