#19, The Prism looked kinda beat up...it had ghetto-tastic wheel covers (BRIGHT chrome, and they stuck out from the wheel) and the interior smelled like smoke which led me to believe it had been owned by a dumbass teenager...the Mirage looks like it was taken care of.

#19, of course, it WAS a rebadged corolla with better stying...it even had blacked-out tails and clear corners stock :P

#22, Yeah, I know the Prism was a butt-buddy of the Corolla...but, meh. I may want reliability, but I'm not dead...I want SOME sportiness...(YES, the Capri was slightly sporty, GREAT handling)

#21, too bad...i looked up the stats on a 93 prizm, and a 1.8-liter car with an auto tranny did 0-60 in 8.5 seconds, which isnt bad at all by subcompact standards...and thats with only 105hp! the manuals must be even better

#23, trust me, it handled just fine...the ride was even slightly stiff, and it has 14 inchers, which is nice for a 2400-lb car

#25, Ok, fine...but I still like the way the Mirage drove...and it looks better, call me shallow if you must...it's also $300 cheaper than the Prism.

I honestly hate 4 door sedans...I just can't stand the way they look...they're an ugly compromise between practical hatchbacks/wagons and sporty-looking coupes...but that's just my cursory opinion.

Manuals are not hard to learn at all. I learned on the way home from the dealer when I bought my 240. Of course I almost side swiped a riced out civic when I accidentally floored it getting onto the highway and broke the rear end loose. But thems kinda mistakes make it twices as fun.

On his budget, he'd probably just be buying another 4-banger unless he wanted a particularly crappy specimen.
