#77, They're also more than willing to argue with me over the point of whether or not I can tell the difference between RWD and FWD. Oh well, I've just about convinced them that I'd like to sell the car and pick up a GT or something in a few more months. I don't mind the crappy interior, fit and finish, etc. that seems to permeate the Ford lineup; I just want more power (but I need something that will last me through three more years of school without any trouble). I've been mulling the idea of getting an '01+ GT, 5-speed, stripped (no leather or traction control if I can find such a car) and going the handling route with it.

#81, i don't think you can get them with out TC. my cousin has a brand new base GT and it still has it. there is a company that makes a memory for it, that way it stays however you had it when you turned the car off.

#2, Let's see here... two and a half years on now...

I've only had two, what I would call noticeable, problems with this car, really...
-A month after I bought it the Check Engine light came on, it needed a new $250 sensor or something.
-The electrical system in the car is kinda fuxxored... the horn doesn't work and it's fried two radios I've installed.

Otherwise this thing has been solid as a brick. The engine does have a problem with hesitation ever so often after startup, like a couple of the cylinders aren't firing or something... but that's minor. I've had to replace routine stuff whilst owning this car... battery, spark plugs/wires, engine belts, tires...shit like that.

So I'd have to say that my Mirage has not been a money pit, and I honestly can say that I love that car. It's slow, it's not in the best shape, and it's lacking in a few details... but it's done alright by me... it's treated me right. I've been very lucky with that car.
