Different breeds can do different things Moose. I had a quarter horse once, full gallop in two and a half strides, wanna guess where his breed got it's name from? The ORIGINAL 1/4 mile machine, seriously.

well, 1 hp = moving 550 lbs 1 foot in 1 second, so that's probably about right, depending on the breed.

With a cart I dont know, without a cart I still dont know. But a human does it in about 40seconds, so a horse should be at least 30sec I would say.
