I didn't know if I should submit this under car or van, because it can be both.

His vehicle, in car mode, was really '80s-tastic. Not saying that's bad...actually, I think it still looks kinda cool.

Now that I think of it, was there really a need to have the Gadgetmobile as a van?

Inspector Gadget used to scare the shit out of me as kid. Here we had a creepy robotic guy with things that can come out of his head (was he ever really a human?) and is constantly outsmarted by his vacuous, cutesy little niece, and her dog. I REPEAT. HE WASN'T AS SMART AS HIS NIECE'S DOG.

Also, every time a side character was introduced, he/she always worked for Doctor Claw. It was as if they existed in some dark paralell universe where everyone had joined the dark side, sort of like Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

#3, Well... he needed a van so it could fit Penny and Brain (was that the dog's name? I haven't seen the show in ages)

...that's really the only explanation I can think of.

For the record, his vehicle was actually called the Gadget Van. Its normal form was of a van, but he could turn it into a sports car if he ever needed to get somewhere fast, because apparently changing the exterior of your vehicle will somehow effect the output. And the thing had to be heavy, what with the ability to change shape and all.

Or maybe the sports car form was for whenever he felt like mackin' out and styling with his rear window louvers, excessive sidewall, and government-mandated rubber bumpers.

The bumper design reminds me of that "safety car" concept with the huge bumpers. I did like the gadgetmobile, though--the overall shape of the thing is sort of 80's 300zx-ish.

#10, The front bumper was actualy a big claw that could grab stuff..... and was part of the vehicle-transformation thing, since the van didn't have one

I think Inspector gadget was at one time a real person, in only maybe one or two episodes, somthing about "his operation" was alluded to, indicating that he was kinda like a gimmicky robocop experiment where all that stuff was surgicaly implanted in him

He has real skin under all those clothes, because there are a few times where he's seen wearing boxers and a wife-beater, but he NEVER removes his fedora or his gloves, suggesting they're artifical pieces that only serve to make him look "normal" to the average person

I always hated that we didn't get to see what Doctor Claw looked like though, but after seeing that figure that was posted on her I guess that was a good thing

Shh, ricers might be watching. They will add mortars to their cars, and then claim the mortars' speed as horsepower.
