#20, its fun. if I'm going to spend 26k+ for a toy, I expect it to do what I want it to. and its not just when doing burnouts that that electric throttle control holds the car back. this is something that I'm sure will soon be fixed by the aftermarket, but untill then I'll pass on it

#20, Burning out is a good indicicator of - but not the only use of - the torque curve. Some of us like a strong torque curve with our horsepower, and the Mustang's peaks at over 4000 rpm and even then it only does 315 ft lbs.; traditionally not much for a 300 hp car.

#22, indeed, the new 3 valve is more like a 4 valve when it comes to torque, which sucks

#24, Correct. It's a nice car otherwise, but I just don't like the engine specs. I should also mention I've never been a fan of the Ford modular V8s. Fine for something like a Crown Vic or a Lincoln, but that's because smooth, quiet, and gas mileage are the only things the engine does well. It's a monkey-fisted design, and not a good choice for a performance engine.

Nah, I don't do the whole brand loyalty/bashing thing, but I definitely don't like their current line of V8s.

In personally I think the GTO is MUCH better looking. The back of the of the new mustang is absolutely hideous, and the GTO looks and feels great. I got a chance to drive it on a prepared track last year and it was an incredible experience.

I stand by the opinion I expressed on the fist page. :p If I had enough money to buy either of them, it'd be the Pontiac.
