I never quite "got" chopping a car... as a person whose head hits the roof of most normal cars, the idea of LOWERING the roof just seems alien to me. I'm only 6 feet tall, but I have short legs and a long torso.

It's supposed to make the car look low and mean, but usually (the '49-'51 Mercs come to mind) it just makes the lower body look huge and bulbous.
