My grandma gave me my first truck, it was my late grandfathers and it was a total piece of shit. Since then I paid for all my vehicles. Sure it's nice to have mommy and daddy buy you a new car but those type of kids are poons anyways |

#24, I don't think getting a nice car from your parents automatically makes you a jackass. A lot of the kids whose parents buy them nice cars do indeed seem to have entitlement...issues, but I'm sure there are some who don't.
I didn't pay for my college education, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate its value. Absurd example, but you get my point. |

#25, Well, I didn't mean for it to sound like that, but I knew a few kids that were total assholes with the cars their parents bought them. One kid I knew named Nick smashed his BMW 3 series in a street race and then his parents go out and bought him a Mustang GT, of course he racked up a hefty number of parking tickets and got his license suspended before too long.
I don't have anything against kids whose parents buy them cars as a whole, but buying and fixing up my own shitty automobiles myself really taught me responsibilty....
...and to never buy American again...:p

#27, karmic justice
The only person in my school who had a nice car handed (Mustang GT convertable) to him, flipped it almost killing 5. The Quebec Police Officer said "nobody should have lived". |

#28, Well it seems there's always some spoiled brat in Grosse Pointe that gets in a fatal roll over accident with his Escalade or Yukon every summer. I mean a few thousand bucks on a used sedan is one thing, but people buying $40,000 tanks for their 16 year olds is trouble waiting to happen. Pardon my sanctimony

#31, it is justified. My kids are rolling in a rusty death trap. That way they'll have to drive well to survive and escape my iron fisted rule. |

I love you future kids. It's for your own good. |

#37, I often wonder what happens when that backfires. Like, if the mailbox handles it a little too well, don't you wind up nailing your own vehicle with the bat? |
