i have a feeling that the viper is the crudest handling car, for some reason

and why does it look like the gt has panel fitment issues? (look at the rear fenders/bumper)

#2, They're built mostly for speed, as are most Dodges. I couldn't really picture weaving down a curvy mountainside road in a 69 Charger.

#3, well, supposedly vipers pull 1.0 g, but somehow i don't think they are very graceful doing it

Don't get me wrong, Vipers are bad fucking ass, but as far as handling goes, I'm sticking to Euro cars.

#4, hmm.. a comparo.. big 3 supercars:
SRT10/GT/Z06
price: 82,000/149,000/65,000
hp: 500@5600/500@6500/505@6300
tq: 525@4200/500@3250/470@4800
cw: 3450/3350/3150
0-60: 3.9/3.5/3.6
1/4: 12.1@121/11.8@120/11.7@125
skidpad: 1.02/0.99/0.98
mpg: 12/20 13/21 16/26

----

my verdict.. Z06... cheaper, lighter, faster, better gas mileage... not the best in every category.. but for your buck.. it's unbeatable... did i say cheaper?.. oh yeah.. better looking.. Chevy.. all good enough reasons for me to prefer the Z06 ;)

Personally, the GT is my favorite, but the Z06 is the clear winner in the bang-for-the-buck department.

for a daily driver the vette is perfect, but the torque of the gt must be insane

plus the first gear that goes to 60 is appealing to me

i'm afraid to drive a viper.. i've heard some nasty stories.. i've driven a C6.. though not a Z06... and it was quite manageable...

did i mention the Z06 is cheaper?.. those numbers might as well be even.. and you get the Z06 for nearly 20k less than a SRT10.. and over 60K less than the GT..

#6, I could have sworn the GT had 550hp and not 505.

Maybe not.

#11, i read the viper review and supposedly it's twichy and imprecise, but still, i'm sure it's not so bad

and yeah, the gt has 550...maybe that was a preproduction comparo

#11, Yes. You did mention that fact. Three times total.

#13, It cant be a pre-production GT if theyre comparing it to the Z06.

#13, so it does have 550.. goes to prove not every source is accurage.. i've also found many varying 1/4 times for each of the cars.. it's an inexact science this desk comparing... heh

#14, nope, $65,000 MSRP.. that's one number i've found consistently

#15, i didnt pull that whole comparo off of anywhere.. i looked up the numbers and typed it up myself

#19, you said "it can't be a pre-production GT if theyre comparing it to the Z06"

there is no "they".. this was not a direct comparison.. this was me pulling numbers off of different web sites.. the one i got for the GT may have been a pre-production GT.. the Z06 was from a completely different source..
