Some of these odd dragsters from this era really were rice if you think about it, built only for show, never intended to use those huge engines, pointless styling absurdities everywhere.

That wasn't even rice, that was like "we're too broke to rice it out, let's just raid the attic and throw some old shit at it. That way we've got a custom ride and a clean attic."
