LOL ITS SMALL SO ITS A DEATH TRAP LOL

God dammit, I'm sick of hearing that stupid bullshit from people who don't know jack about this car.

This is one of the most structurally secure cars in a crash. This has better safety ratings than cars twice its size.

#12, Yes, and it would probably come through that accident pretty OK... at least better than some cars twice its size.

#11, the perception is always going to be that size is more important than structural integrity, crumple zones, etc...

personally, I *feel* safer in a car with a full frame... even though those cars can actually hurt you more since the impact can affect you more (ala Ernhardt) than a car with schrunchy crumple zones.

In reality, there are several factors that will decide how a car fares in an accident. Weights, speeds, areas hit, angles, air bags, car design, etc, etc, etc.

#18, That was 5th Gear.

Top Gear smashes cars just for the hell of it and for shits n' giggles.
5th Gear puts on the aura of crashing cars for scientific "let's see what happens" purposes. They usually do more serious crash tests.
