What is the point of putting the tach on the hood? Why not put the speedometer there as well, while you're at it? |

I thought having the tach on the hood was so that when strip racing you don't avert your eyes from the track when checking the RPM and trying to hit that perfect shift. |

The same tach, mounted on the dashboard, with a big bright shift light would serve just as well, and not look tacky. |

It doesn't bother me, like Raptor said it's to focus the driver's attention squarely on the RPMs |

#3, I don't know if there is enough dashboard in this car to actaully put that tach on there. Looks pretty small, just barely bigger than my Jeeps dash. |

If you really wanted a tach on the hood without looking tacky, you could use the one from the GTO.
BTW, I had a green '70 Nova SS but mine had a black vinyl roof... |
