Only 633 of these made. My Pace Car is one of the few that was used by Indy.

Was there anything special about these besides the paint?

When the 1993 Camaro paced the Indy 500, it was the fourth Camaro and the ninth Chevrolet to do so, both records at the time. Chevy only made 633 units making the '93 Camaro the second rarest of the pace car family. The 93 Camaro Pace Car was also the first Camaro to go from the factory to the racetrack with no performance modifications needed.

I rode in one of these back in oh - '97? Guy who owned it was paralyzed from the neck down and just rode in it while his friends drove. These only came with automatics if I remember correctly and the LT1 engine?

Yeah, good to note it was the first Camaro to do that... I believe the 1989 Turbo Trans Am needed no performance modifications either.

Nice, but I prefer the 96 Pacecar as far as the paintscheme goes.

e: speaking of pacecars, I saw a '78 vette pacecar yesterday.
