#19, I, personally, never took a side, and for a time, would just completely leave the moment talk of sporks started.

#17, Don't forget the Ford Cibra....Ford's attempt at a competitor. It was built on a '70 Ford Galaxy X100 chassis, with an all-steel aerodynamic body (using a combination of new sheetmetal and some leftover from the Ford Falcon) so it was never as light as the Handcode. That was the main reason they weren't as successful. But it did have a similar AWD system made of "Roswellium", and that new-fangled Suprahydramaticcarbontrackodizer transmission. It also used dual Fish carburators. And full spherical combustion chambers.

#22, I tried to make the Handcode story somewhat believable without having to resort to extreme technojargonbabble...

#23, Yeah, except for the whole "shift into H" thing....

There was also the Chrysler Vomet and the AMC Camero, but I don't think backstories were ever devised for them.

BTW, for anyone who is curious, the Handcode thing started in 5475 and 5632 and soon took on a life of its own. Jon even managed to take a photo of one (7628).

The Ford Cibra started on 19211.

The Chrysler Vomet was merely the punchline of an old joke about a car with a throw-up top and bucket seats...

I know my post is a long read, but it DOES cover everything I could remember from what we talked about the Handcode.

#27, It was just a high view of a huge car show with one of the distant cars circled (it just looked like a dark speck) and the words "OMG! The Chevrolet HANDCODE" next to it.

The Handcode has never actually been represented in a picture...it would kind of defeat the purpose. It's meant to be a car so extremely bizarre in its decription that it defies a mental image. Sort of like Kafka's metamorphosized Gregor Samsa....to depict it in a picture would destroy the illusion.

#29, It's quite the enthralling tale, a most excellent story about the conception of a car so bizarre you can't help but laugh when you hear it's specs.

#30, Though I did try to come up with some little details of it's appearance in my description. Corvette bumper, DeVille roofline, Chevelle front-clip, Toronado rear-end...

#32, Yes, but the physical description isn't actually a physical picture. The collection of parts is difficult to actually imagine, hence the humor.
