#61, Finals were last week... it couldn't have broken down at a better time...

...and it was a $1k car... it lasted nearly 3 years (my college campus and workplace are both pretty close... so I don't put that many miles on a car), with NO real problems until the tranny gave out... Before that all I had to do were oil changes, get new cheapo tires, and I had to replace the spark plugs/wires and engine belts, and that's all.

Everybody stalls at least three or four times while learning, it's not the end of the world. If you don't learn now, when will you? Take it slow, relax, pretend no one else is in traffic (or you could just go to an empty parking lot and drive around for hours) and you'll pick it up in one day. Manuals are a blast, period. A stick shift will make driving an econobox tolerable, even fun.

My condonlences :(

#65, I totally agree. I learned how to drive with the Sentra the first day I got it. Had to drive for about 2 hours for a job so I HAD to learn lol.. It was a blast. Now the Volvo would be boring as hell with an automatic.

#67, lol I knew you would care :p Well it doesn't really matter, we had the fun we could have, I just wish we had recorded that damn album. About 9 songs are "wasted" with the end of that band. I'm gonna invest more in my new project.

#66, i couldn't have said that better. my car isn't fast by any means, but it's so much fun just because it's a stick, you really should learn, you'll be glad you did

Has DiRF been rallying???
The first thought in my mind after seeing the thumbnail of the Mirage 'flipped' :)
What can I say. I know how it feels (although the Frog met an honorable death, death in battle).
Econoboxes simply have to have a manual otherwise they're unbearable, with stick they can actually be fun, as it was said here. They are light and agile but underpowered: very 'un-auto' characteristics IMO.
The CRX seems to be an OK choice but is it was really owned by an 'active' ricer the car can be beat-up mechanically.

Hmmm... never made one of these images for the G20 or Sentra... probably because both were fully-functioning automobiles at the time of replacement, and I was able to trade them in.
