#6, I can confirm this 100%. My friend's dad had/has (of 2005) very late newport with a slant 6. And it's still going strong. At least you can't kill it. We drove around in it a lot during high school. It was fucking slow as shit but hey in downtown Ottawa (near my school) you can't get going very fast. One day his battery died in the teacher's parking lot (no students allowed...like that stopped us. No one would ever tow a blue impala so close to the main police staton). I had to push this thing out of the lot. That was a lot of pushing from the front and then back and the front, and the side. It was too much so I ran into the school to get some friends from class. |

#7, Yeah it looks very close to a newport. everything, including the grille is very similar.
I think it was a 79. |

I remember seeing the "Blues Brothers" at Universal Studios back in 2000 (most likely not the real ones), probably promoting that turd Blues Brothers 2000 and the dumbasses were driving a St Regis instead of a 74 Monaco.

Forever immortalized as the police cars in Driver.
They really did look sorta cool. I wouldn't mind having one with a decent 360 crate and cop suspension/brakes. |
