I'd rather have the Porsche/Acura/Rolls/Jag combo on the top, but painted one color and minus the hunk of Landau top

#2, Ah.....I figured the second part was Acura, but thought it seemed kinda outta place with the other 3. But then again, so does the Chrysler :P

I certainly wouldn't compare an Imperial and a 928, or an Acura to a Rolls for that matter. I'd say the only two that really are similar are the Imperial and the Jag.

I like Chryslers of this era, so I would most definitely sport it.

I want a complete 928.

Wow, my car has four round wheels, like the Bugatti Veyron, twin forward-illuminating lamps in the front fascia, like a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, and a space in the back with which I can carry goods, like a Rolls-Royce Phantom.

#8, I think what they're saying is that the Imperial costs considerably less than those "luxury cars", yet has standard features that are at cost on all those cars.

#9, Someone on Jalopnik summed it up well.

The ad man is tasked with advertising a car that is pretty mediocre. How do you make the car appeal to buyers? Play to its strengths. It isn't nearly as fast as a Porsche 928, but you say it has ABS like a Porsche 928. It probably isn't as reliable as an Acura Legend but it has an airbag like the Acura. It isn't nearly as luxurious as a Rolls-Royce but it has self-leveling suspension like the Rolls. And so on. It wins in one category against many comers, and people are expected to think that it's a fair compromise for the price.

So I can say my 1985 Pontiac 6000 STE has ABS like a 928, self-leveling suspension like a Lincoln Mark VII, sport-tuned suspension like a BMW 325i, digital instrumentation like an Aston Martin Lagonda, and a powertrain like a ... Chevy Citation X-11 :/
