This is a rather-interesting-looking vehicle, I could even see how some people might even call it "Cute".

Can't wait to see these at Chrysler dealerships, yep, people who are used to full size V8s sedans will love squeezing their fat asses into this.

Bah, ignore me, I'm being a dick...

Actually, the vehicles Chery will sell through Chrysler will actually be based on the Hornet concept... no way in hell could the QQ be sold outside of China as it is an unlicensed ripoff of the Daewoo Matiz. It's only allowed to be sold in China since the Chinese government is rather lax when domestic companies ripoff foreign companies.

#4, I thought Tommy LaSorda said they weren't planning on having the Hornet concept as part of the Chery deal, he it was a "...great statement of our design."

#5, Well, car companies buying up their competitors' vehicles the moment they hit the showroom, then taking them back, dismantling them, and finding out every little thing about them is what EVERY major car company in the world does (I've seen photos of GM's "chop shops" where they have Hondas, Toyotas, Dodges, etc up on lifts being thoroughly gutted). I wouldn't call it wrong, as it's not illegal to buy a car off a dealer's lot and do whatever you want to it, if you don't plan on driving it on the road.

But yeah, the Chinese take it a step further by completely copying the vehicles.

Of course, there's always the possibility that by alligning ourselves with Chery we are secretly funding communist nuclear programs against the US!

#7, You forgot to add one thing. All of Chinese copies are actually worse than the originals. Sometimes a lot worse.

#7, So why cant GM figure out how to make a decent car if they have the "right way" right in front of them?

*runs*

Uh, because they were cheap bastards who let the bean-counters design the cars... but with Bob Lutz's help, they're starting to actually make damn nice cars these days...
