#21, Good god, I was roundaboutly likening them to domestic fanboys thinking the Avenger is a good car compared to the likes of Honda and Toyota, judging by the average nascar (fan/whoever)'s opinion on the import/domestic issue. Sheesh. Would it make things ok if I promised never to let the word nascar touch my lips again?
I havent remotely insulted nascar. In fact, I do respect the sport because it highlights so many things other than going through twisty bits. After the first couple laps, an F1 race is mostly about the driver navigating the track, rather than maneuvering about through those around him. I think the intensity of driving up to 200mph side by side in packs of cars is fairly unique to nascar and I like that about it.

#29, No denying that, but I was around for a pretty good chunk of Honda bashing ;)
I honestly love where the site is right now. I think the combined view of the active members is pretty well-rounded, something any non-make/model specific car site should be.

#29, Sometimes it goes even beyond Honda-friendly....one can't even say a negative thing about a Honda on here anymore without an extreme reaction from most of the site. A side effect of having a lot of Honda owners, I suppose.

I came here fresh from the grit-boy infested front page so I had some prejudices. Although I wouldn't classify myself as a Honda fan by any stretch I do respect Hondas and most Japanese import vehicles a great deal more than I did three or four years ago. But even back then my malice towards Hondas was mostly directed at their idiot drivers than the manufacturer as a whole, I did, like many others, get defensive when people who drove Hondas and the like spoke negatively about domestic brands. I guess I was just in a state of denial :p
Anywho, I do like the new Avenger, but I heard that there was some kind of big recall on the current model year.

#35, I like it too for the most part. I saw one in person and it didn't look BAD per se, but the space between the top of the taillights and quarter panel bugs me.

#36, I think it's just the angle. But I do know for a fact that the late nineties Avengers did have front control arm and lower ball joint problems according to automobilemag.com, what that has to do with anything I don't know. Anyways, I guess I was mistaken about the 08 recalls, probably just misinformation about the car, but there was a recent recall on older Avengers last December according to the previously mentioned site. So, nevermind then...
#37, There's a white one owned by a local Meijer's employee, a good looking car imo. Subtle but edgy at the same time.
