has anyone ever had to drive one of these? The dash is incredibly thin. I sware to god they had the thinnest seats ever, and the dash was I sware to god about 5" thick

#3, Yes, I drove both the 1998 and 2004 LS models, not impressed by either's interior but they were fuel efficient and not as sluggish as other compacts I've driven.

#4, true. I drove a '95 base (not even RS) and a '99 RS. I didn't hate them, but I don't think I'd buy one again unless I was gonna beater it/engine swap it.

#5, They are good beater cars, the Ecotec engines can be nice if you keep up with the maintenance, otherwise be prepared to tinker around inside the block and head, alot...

I think this might be a p shop. The color seems to spray painty, and the front hubcap looks wierd.

Like I've said ... the A/C is the only redeeming feature on Cavaliers. Maybe the owners are ingesting the freon? "I'd like a Diet R-134A please, no ice..."
