When I think about a Buick Riviera I think about a boat-tailed low slung cruiser with sexy lines. Not this blob of rolling chrome and plastic.

#3, Not many, we both know how many old people are attracted to sleek, shiny vehicles. How many people under 40 do you see driving Corvettes.
#4, It could wear any badge it wants, I'd still think it looks like crap.

They're not that unattainable. I could afford a used C5 pretty easily if I wanted a car that would bottom out leaving my apartment complex every morning. I could probably swing the payments on a C6, too, if I really wanted one.

#7, Plenty, a base model C6 Vette costs only around 40-45K. If you could get approved for financing, the payments probably wouldn't be much more than $600 a month, insurance is another story. But where there's a will there's a way.

Hell, I've probably got more in the Mustang than it'd cost to buy a decent late-model 'Vette.

#11, Hell, with all the money I put in my truck I could've probably done like my friends and put a down payment on a newer car. But most newer cars just don't do it for me, I like my carbureted engines, my manual roll down windows, my non-power steering, my big chrome bumpers and my total absence of airbags, ABS and traction control.

#13, The main reason I built the Rustang rather than buying a decent car was that I wanted a fairly powerful late-model car with fairly simple mechanicals and very little fluff. I like fuel injection a lot because it's possible to get at least some drivability out of engines that would otherwise have trouble even running, but I'm not a huge fan of today's driver aids.

#15, The reason I bought my Suburban was basically because I fell in love with it the moment I saw it :) I was looking for a 67-72 C-10 and just happened upon mine one day. It wasn't quite what I was expecting but I liked it just the same. It's a comfortable and spartan vehicle with the convienience of an enclosed bedspace and a nice beefy 350 V8 coupled to a Turbo 350 transmission. It's got a manual choke and a 4 barrell Holley but it starts great and runs fine too, heck it's probably the one of the best running engines I've ever had. I'd like to have a more modern vehicle sure, I'd love to have a Mustang too as a matter of fact. But as of right now both my cars are paid off and my insurance is very affordable so me=happy.

#19, Not 15 minutes after I had signed the death warrant for my fleetwood, I saw a grass clipping covered 1964 Continent for sale for 500 bucks. I had exactly 550 bucks to my name. Other than the grass it was physically mint. I looked at it in awe and then realized it would wake up dead If had bought that car.
