Our new washer flooded once right after my dad bought it, it turned out someone had set it wrong or something of that nature. Regardless, my dad was about to have a heart attack. |

#5, Nope, Whirlpool. Other than that incident they've behaved fine, we've had them going on 3 years. Our old ones were here when my parents moved in about 20 years ago.
Edit: Actually, now that I remember, my parents bought our old washer and dryer new in either 1990 or 1991 to replace the old ones that came with the house

#7, My grandma still has a stove from about 60 years ago in her basement. She doesn't cook with it, nor has she for a loooong time. It's more of an antique, as you can imagine. |

#9, Cool, the only thing from the 50s that's still in the house is probably our furnace, it's the original the house came with and works as good as the day it was installed.
Then there's all the asbestos *cough* *cough* :p |

#10, I pulled so much asbestos out of my mom's old house when we re-did the upper floor. I was worried about it but my grandfather said not to worry, saying he had done so many asbestos brake jobs and pulled so much out of houses over the years and he was fine... I try not to think about that too often. |

#11, There was a bunch when me and my dad yanked up some tiles in our basement, so if I develop mesothelioma in 40 years, I'll know who to blame. |

#15, frigidaire washer: poorly installed but other than that very good. We got a nicer floor out of that failure.
frigidaire dishwasher: there's a bump in the ceiling below it
frigidaire dryer: element :was replaced by surly asian midget and the knob broke. They don't make them for indidivual sale
frigidaire fridge: very good |
